What man doesn't like a good knife? Ever since I was a kid, and probably you also, being the guy on the block with the biggest knife
was what it was all about. Knifes are..well.. knifes, need I say more? I'm not sure what us guys like so much about knife
, I mean it probably goes all the way back to caveman running around with rock knifes killing mammoths and what not. Well, you may not have to defend against saber tooth tigers with your knife, but if you still think you need a blade, I have the coolest one out there right now.
Take a step back all you Bear Grylls haters, the new Bear Grylls knife by Gerber is awesome! What follows is my completely biased review of the Bear Grylls new Gerber knife. No apologies.
You have to give it to the marketing and design teams on this one. The new Bear Grylls knife
by Gerber screams...well...your name. One thing I have to say about this new knife is the nice details that were added to the sheath and the knife itself. If you're looking for a knife at a decent price that has something to set it apart from the crowd, this is the one for you.
The sheath itself carries a nice orange "BG" as well as "Bear", which pops from the all black for a great look that will guarantee your friends start asking when they see it hanging from your side. But, the the knife itself is where the real magic is, if you don't want this knife after looking at it either you hate Bear Grylls or you're a purist. I have to say, the orange detail on the knife itself, along with the gray just make this knife cool, no other way to put it.
The handle of this folding knife
( that locks ) is a durable and stiff rubber. This is important because it is not plastic, the rubber provides better grip, will be more durable, and will probably clean up easily. If you have never held a knife with a hard stiff rubber like this, then you don't know what your missing. Once you fold out the locking blade the first thing a person will notice is the dark mat color. Not a shinny blade, this dark gray beauty matches perfectly with the handle and makes the orange detail jump out and punch you in the face.
The dark gray blade also carries a nice "Gerber" stamp as well as "Bear" for a little extra. The hard rubber grip/handle also has a nice inlayed set of stripes to make sure you never lose your hold when you go to work with the blade. The blade itself also has a little serration along the bottom for some sawing action if need be.
Overall this new Bear Grylls knife
by Gerber is awesome, anyone who likes knifes is going to love this unique and versatile blade. From the sheath to the handle, the orange detail takes this set to the next level. If you want a good knife for camping, hunting, to show your friends, or just whittle some wood, you might as well do it in style. Even if you hate Bear Grylls, you have to admit this knife is sweet. Do you carry a knife? What kind? Would you rather have something plain or different?
