5 Things You Have to Do This Winter!

You ever wish you were a kid again? Do you ever dream about those snow days when you got school off and played outside with your friends all day? Those glorious snow forts, sledding down that huge hill, those were the days.

In today's cubicle world it's easy to forget about the simple and fun things in life. Life is short, what's the point in being a grump the whole time?

If you're looking to blow off a little steam, we've got a list of 5 things you have to do for fun this winter. Don't think about it, just go outside and do it.

You will feel better, we promise.

1. Build a Snowman (or creature)
When is the last time you built a good ole' classic snowman, with a carrot and some coal to make it official? It's probably been to long!

Have some fun, be a mad scientist and make you're own snow Frankenstein creature in your front yard. At the very least you can watch all the people driving by staring and pointing.

Trust me, getting outside some long winter weekend and making your own creation will make that hot chocolate taste that much better when you come in from your hard labor.

2. Start a Snowball Fight
Ok, so imagine this... you're getting out of the car some cold winter evening, with your significant other and heading inside. You pick up some snow, make that perfect ball and smack... you get them right in the back of the head.

And then it is on. World War III is upon us all.

If you're not laughing so hard your side hurts by the time you collapse into the snow with exhaustion, you got other problems.

It's surprising how much good to your soul a classic snowball fight will do. Live a little, why not?

3. Go Sledding
Don't tell me you can't remember the days of running home from school, grabbing that quickest sled in the bunch, and heading to that local sledding hill where someone was bound to get hurt.

Sure, you may be getting a little older, but if you're taking the trouble to read this you probably wouldn't object to a outdoor adventure to spice up life.

Most likely you will come back from sledding very sore and unable to walk the next day, but just think of the memories and cries of laughter that came floating up from the bottom of that hill.

4. Go Ice Skating
Running out of ideas for a good date night? Ice skating should score you some points with your significant other and keep you out of that dog house. Ice skating on a cold winter evening that could have turned into another boring night is a great idea. Pretty much any decent sized city usually has an outdoor ice skating arena that gets put up for the season.

I'm sure you will fall down a few times and bruise your pride, but you can probably count on not being the only one!

Live a little, take a few bucks, go ice skating, buy some hot chocolate, and have a good time. Even the toughest guy can get softened up and laughing a little bit when wobbling around on some skates holding on with a death grip to the person next to you.

5. Make a Snow Fort
Before you roll your eyes and say "this is a little much," just take a second and think about it. Life is short right? Laughter is supposed to make you live longer. So, you're telling me that deep down inside you somewhere you really don't want to make a snow fort? Yeah right.

Building a snow fort and throwing a few snowballs will do your soul some good. It will give you a sense of accomplishment when you look at your castle, and look down upon the poor common folk around you. Building a snow fort will make you use your imagination and will probably give you a good workout.

Well, there you have it. Next time your laying on the couch some winter Saturday feeling bad for yourself because its soooo borrringgg, stop, take a mintue and pick one of these five fun outdoor winter activites. Want to laugh a little, sweat a little, and just have a good time? Try to find that inner child again.
