I know what you're thinking, "that isn't possible." It sounds crazy, maybe a tad stupid. I would have to agree. It's a lot of things, impossible, however, is not one of them.

I know this because it's exactly what I did last year.

Backpacking to Capitol Peak, CO

Backpacking in the Maroon Bells Wilderness Area, going to Capitol Peak, CO was probably one of my favorite trips ever. Spent three days backpacking and loving the solitude in middle of nowhere.

The drive into the trail head was a little crazy. I would suggest that you have a high clearance vehicle or a 4wd vehicle if you are gonig to attempt to drive all the way to trailhead. The dirt road can get a little sticky in places and you will ne............
